Paying for what you get or think you are getting

This subject always makes me laugh, when someone asks me for a quote and then tells me they have a cheaper quote, my reaction is always go with the other guys, the customer will not be getting the same quality, variety or quantity as I had quoted but at least I won't have to deal with their issues.

Case in point, one of my Event Planners and I spent several days working out prices, confirming with suppliers that I could get the products, emails and phone calls back and forth.

The picture on the left is what we quoted on, a garden of succulents and on the right what the client organised with another florist because they found someone cheaper than us … they got a single plant !!  so much for “comparing oranges with oranges”, the client was not happy with the end product but it was too late to fix it.

So, yes there is always cheaper but rarely the same, so when you are comparing quotes make sure everyone is quoting on for the same product

sure we can make it cheaper ... but it will be smaller  :)
