The idea of sending or giving flowers has been around since Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and the Roman Empires, often using flowers in religious traditions, as props for storytelling, or a way for individuals to express any type of emotion.
This was helpful during the Victorian Era when showing your emotions or physical affection weren't allowed and as anyone here watched the 1st series of the TV series- Bridgerton, saw the touching of hands between Simon and Daphne and how scandalous it was, so flowers were used to send a not-so secret messages
The biggest reason we give flowers as gifts is to connect with an emotion. Whether its love, joy, affection, appreciation, sympathy, romance or apologies; flower giving communicates the deepest feelings in the most elegant manner.
So what happens when you send less than average flowers? Does that diminish the message? Yes it has to, if you sent a bunch of flowers to a client and the flowers died the next day or were bad quality, the subliminal messsage you're sending is the client isn't worthy, and you might loose their business. Flowers will help open doors, its makes a great first impression once in the door you can start your apology/ sell products/enforce your message/celebrate,
So do your homework, google maps is good to be used for this, type in the suburb " Castle Hill" click on the map, choose the option "nearby" and type in florist - only florists in the area appear (no dodgy relay companies or misleading "local Florists")
Look at the reviews & the pictures, is this something you'd be happy to receive yourself, do you like the style and the colour combinations? most florists have a website you can order through or give them a call.
Be careful however of "shops" like this one below, this is what we call a relay company, they take your order and "relay it" to a real flower shop, taking a lovely chunk of money out first on fees
If you are ever unsure of the florists ability (& sometimes you might not have a choice, in small towns there might be only one florist to choose) ask them to keep it simple, 2 types of flowers and 2 colours, White and soft pink or yellow & oranges
Not all florists are equal, which is why my clients are happy to spend $30, 40 or even $50 on delivery because they love my work
